And that at 1.7x are then unintelligible? If so, I'm not sure I understand how the pitch is being constant. Much beyond 1.7x the spoken word starts to become too fast to comprehend though, above 2x it's virtually impossible to follow. VLC Media player keeps the pitch constant when speeding up playback.
